American Airlines is in the process of merging with US Airways. This merger is expected to close in the third quarter of 2013.

@AmericanAir the worst for Soldiers. I reserved a basic economy (all I could afford) and had to pay $800 for a new trip to make it to my destination so I can be present for my son b-day. I ended up driving nonstop for 1800 miles. My return is cancelled and I have no return flght.

SO frustrated with @AmericanAir. Recd email that 1st leg of flight changed leaving <1 hr connection time for intl flight.Per email, can choose diff flight at NO COST.After changing flight,was unable to choose seats in upgraded prem economy that I had already paid for.1/

@AmericanAir I’m getting ready to board my plane. I purchased economy and was assigned a seat . Unfortunately due to a medical issue, my assigned aisle seat will not work. I asked 2 people who stated they would only change this seat for a few. This is totally unacceptable!!

@AmericanAir I sent you a DM, help me understand why I received 535 miles for a cash paid ticket from LAX-MIA when the actual distance is 2,330+. I purchased regular economy ticket, not a reduced “basic” fare.

@todzilla @AmericanAir No domestic carriers wave the fare rules and issue refunds back to the ofop due to death, a death certificate may waive a change or cancellation fee but you are still issued a voucher if you have basic economy your out of luck those or use it or lose it. Airlines haven’t had
