@Nevbosh_au@SharleneMelb@StevenJMiles Either youâve never been to the GABBA or youâve never been to any other stadium.
Itâs literally had 3 power outages in recent years. A partial roof collapse. Itâs notorious for poor accessibility and functionality with its back of house design.
But do go on about âworld classâ.
@ab_cd_goldfish@pinelime85@Peter_Fitz Panels and batteries were $20k after rebate. We took a low interest green loan over 10 years and we are paying back what we would have been paying with electricity.
We could have brought a new car, but the solar power has been invaluable, especially with the power outages.
@MeowsticSylveon Itâs usually neutral but there are times when weather decides to go crazy on us.
The last incident we have whilst on extreme weather, is power outage to over half a million households across Victoria. And thanks to that⊠I couldnât go to the train to my TAFE!
@ronInBendigo There was funding to underground power lines post 2009 Fires in the affected area. The high voltage line in our street was undergrounded. We still get outages.
Hi @3AW693, @TomElliott3AW,
The minister cynically talks about outages in Victoria's regional areas, knowing Melbournians will reacts less to that.
What she avoided mentioning is that there are suburbs of Melbourne (e.g. Ferntree Gully) that are still without power & NBN.
@HumanHeadline FFS itâs not the first time and wonât be the last we have a power outage. Theyâve been happening across Australia since I was a little girl (thatâs a while ago now). Itâs because of storms and high winds. Stop being an arse about Victoria.
