@TexasMonthly Yet, the "at cost" fuel portion of my @atmosenergy bill is $9 per MCF (thousand cubic feet). I realize they don't buy at spot prices but still, are they that bad at their purchase decisions, do they just not care or is there something else going on?

Holy lord, @atmosenergy - I don't need a 2.5 minute video about my bill. I can look at the bill and figure out what's owed due to usage.

Why is the bill so high @atmosenergy ?!! It makes no sense for what we used!!

Guess we won't be using our gas much in February to re-coop the $600 January bill. Atmos said they read our meter correctly. @atmosenergy better not up their rates like they are threatening to do.

I knew my @atmosenergy gas bill would be high*, considering we had 12° temps a few weeks ago, and a spell of almost 3 days of sub-freezing weather. But I wasn't expecting $401.18. Texas has a reputation for heat, but my electric bill was never this high. *held at 68°.

Just got our 12/22-1/25 @atmosenergy bill and it's outrageous! I know that it was cold, but I've never seen a close to $600 bill!

@atmosenergy Our bill spiked higher than it's ever been. Happened once before after the home explosion that killed a young girl in Dallas prompting major neighborhood repairs. Now after the Ft. Worth explosion it's happened again.@NBCDFW @CBSNewsTexas @wfaa

@Ilhan Those people in Minnesota are tough, hardy folks. I was afraid the other night when it was 12°. Currently it's 27° and, for a change, my furnace isn't roaring loud. I can only imagine how much the bill from @atmosenergy will be. Been makin' sure dog comes back inside.
