@emmasimon1016 @Amtrak The reality is because our great friends the Republicans do nothing whatsoever to fund it, so the NE Corridor has to profit to keep the rest of the lines across the country (whose daily service is often the only public alternative in many towns served) scraping by.

It has been an exhausting day chasing down info from @AmtrakNECAlerts and waiting for a train that didn’t come and then didn’t open its doors. Problems happen and delays happen, but the lack of communication didn’t have to. Do better, @Amtrak. @USDOT

@evelynCatnip @JS_Cassady @IshrionA @Amtrak Not interested in trains! Quicker, safer, and more civilized to fly. BWI means you need to fly Southwest, a shit hole airline. I only fly American!

@the_transit_guy @SouthwestAir helped kill HSR in Texas, and they're bringing that contagion to the East Coast at the worst possible time. @Amtrak has three trains daily from Washington to Richmond, all of which take nearly three hours (which still beats the hideous congestion on I-95).

@JS_Cassady @IshrionA @Amtrak Amtrak trains are useless for connections. Impossible to connect to Nassau or Bermuda with Amtrak. Sad!

@Amtrak Stop lying. There is NO WiFi on this train. Period. Your own conductor acknowledged that. It is NOT a reception issue. Also the single power outlet in my room does not work.
