American Airlines is a US airline and has Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport as its largest hub. American Airlines also owns American Eagle, which operates mostly regional flights. American Airlines is in the process of merging with US Airways. This merger is expected to close in the third quarter of 2013.

@AmericanAir What can I say about American. Living all over the world, flying on airlines all over the world, American is definitely a substandard airline. Product is crap, service is crap. After several delays. Then flight out of Charlotte was cancelled. They said Wx. BS!!

@AmericanAir I already rebooked and I’ve been stuck at Charlotte since 10:30 last night. The earliest flight to my destination is ~11:20 am. So many people stranded here forced to sleep at the airport because of lack of hotels. No refunds or credit for any of our troubles?…..disappointing.

@AmericanAir seems to be breaking down this evening. Almost every flight out of Charlotte has been delayed due to no pilots. No hotels available. They keep mentioning their customer service desk, which is about 200 people waiting for help.

@LarryMac28 @AmericanAir Last week I was flying from MSP to CLT. Pulled away from the gate, headed to the runway pilot literally pulls over and say there was an electrical issue. We sat there for over an hour (no one saw any mechanical come to the plane mind you) when the pilot said we are good to go!
