I'd say this generation has been marked by AA and indie games and the downturn of AAA games in general. It was getting bad last gen, but man did it spiral hard this gen. And I don't see AAA games getting any better anytime soon.

Management does not give a fuck about quality control, if the game is playable in the eyes of some old bastard then it gets shipped and fixed later and devs are cucked. Impossible to kill headglitchers, the ADD movement of slide-jump-slide-spray, and ridiculous lag is too much. You pander to these goddamn streamers and ruin for the rest.
