If government censorship will obligate Apple to obey App Store take downs, then making sideloading available will protect those who need secure apps such as @signalapp , Android is able to be sideloaded, same with MacOS.

@SamZaNemesis @sinclairinat0r @signalapp Even had it not been cancelled you’d still be unable to use it on an apple silicon mac because the current CPUs don’t support nested virtualisation to allow a Windows VM to launch a nested VM for android (same reason WSL2 won’t work)

K I give up, I've reached out to @signalapp 7+ times & got nonsense responses from bewildered volunteers or bots. If you know me personally on Signal, you can re-add me by adding my exact same phone number as a new contact. I have tried to fix this for 3 weeks.

@vikrantnyc The same way @signalapp or @telegram do contact enumeration i guess, brings in a lot of complexities though I imagine. User would have to provide a number and select a wallet or toggle visibility and perform 2FA with Cake to verify ownership. Sending user then queries Cake
