@RightToZeroCA @SenDaveMin And I forgot home battery backup systems, because my natural gas stove has never let me down in an extended power outage: could still make coffee, tea, meals, etc. Also the natural gas logs that keep me warm during winter outages. See what the costs are to not have natural gas?

If #Texas attempt to secede, people will die. At first, by accidents borne of chaos. Then, Militias, violent protests & police actions w/deadly force. Breakdowns, failure of infrastructure. Power outages. Potable Water. Heat or cold deaths. Fires. Overwhelmed hospitals

@SCMountainGoat Huddled up with family around a fire during a power outage with a gnarly storm outside is how it’s gonna go down for me tonight, I kinda like it though, gives me a reason to bbq instead of cook inside

@DragonOllie @Victori84604362 @MiloDenise @storiesbyjemay There were still flood advisories, and high winds. There were thunderstorms in the afternoon, causing problems for some aircraft which diverted to Los Angeles. Power lines went down in several areas as well. Power outage in Goleta. Not a great day to drive if you didn’t have to.

It's storm season in CA and so many ignorant takes on power outages rn. Like downed lines, power poles and transformers that get struck by lightning are all gonna result in you being in the dark for a hot minute. These are things that cannot be fixed in 20 minutes.
