Customers using 2FA at @HostGator should remove the DNS entries for webmail & cpanel subdomains. 2FA is not being enforced on those subdomains, hackers can get into accounts that way. If you're not using those subdomains, you should remove them, even if not using HostGator.

Beware of this issue at @HostGator and other web hosts. This is how hackers have been able to get into accounts, and I've seen domain names stolen because the domain had webmail and cpanel subdomains set up. Check your DNS settings right now to see if you have cpanel and…

@HostGator I've been wanting them to solve a problem for a month and they don't do anything, their support is terrible and I need to work with my domain.

@DancerA @GoDaddy @HostGator They've traditionally always been the slowest at responding to legal issues related to stolen domain names. Normally we can get things done within 24-48 hours. There's no reason why a company should have to wait 2-3 weeks to get their stolen domain name back.

It is worse my site is always down. I went from $9.99 to $17.99 to $27.99 for two different sites. And NEVER asked for a Business Package. $60 a month for domain names that point to @tumblr @HostGator is wrong for this.

@HostGator @hostgatorindia 5.HostGator Service is very poor, and we are really disappointed with HostGator support team. Because when we are asking them to share the details they directly said to go file a complain against domain disputes.

So @hostgator let a domain expire on me that I've owned for 20 years, the kicker? I paid the renewal over a month in advance and have receipts. Domain runs as pointer for many programming projects and is associated with my primary email address. @HGSupport what have you done?

@GideoVames @HGSupport @HostGator @ICANN The only thing you can do is leave on the sly or they'll retaliate and make it hard to control what you own. First thing is to keep your domains on another registrar - I fell for the FREE domain with hosting and now @Hostgator has shut everything down and @HGSupport is stalling.

@SheTradedIt @HostGator @ICANN I recommend migrating your data and then changing DNS before transferring domains as you can’t change the nameservers/DNS while it’s transferring. This ensures no downtime in between.
