@YoungbloodJoe Yes, you are correct. This attack can only be stopped or filtered out by @Google / @googleanalytics. The are using scraped Tag IDs to send data directly to GA. They are not hitting sites directly. All of the available filtering mechanisms in GA are useless to stop this attack.

@itswillbarry The attack cannot be stopped by blocking IPs or using referral filters in @googleanalytics. The attackers bypass direct site visits, utilizing scraped Tag IDs to send fake visit data straight to GA, which negatively impacts site metrics.
