Signal Problems
Signal is an encrypted communications application for Android and iOS. It uses the Internet to send one-to-one and group messages, which can include files, voice notes, images and videos, and make one-to-one voice and video calls. Signal uses standard cellular mobile numbers as identifiers, and uses end-to-end encryption to secure all communications to other Signal users.

@paulbiggar Don't trust Facebook / WhatsApp / Instagram. Don't trust Google. Use caution with every device. @signalapp is by far your best option for safe and secure communication, but still, it runs on your untrustworthy phone. Telegram isn't encrypted at all, not even slightly secure.

@mmu4022 @paulbiggar There is already @SignalApp as a full-featured WhatsApp alternative. It's a nonprofit, donation sponsored system run by politically intense privacy fanatics (the good kind). The more users, the more it takes hold & succeeds through the network effect.
