It's incredibly insensitive an d ignorant for a supposedly sensible n educated minister of power to advise Nigerians to switch off their freezers n fridges, especially considerin d frequent power outages experienced in d country
Nigeria
@Suzfah235@bradley_kellett You’re assuming the outage is because there’s no generation? Because this would be a distribution outage which really has nothing to do with the big generators not generating power…..
And @CitiPower strikes again. Once again, power outages in our neighbourhood. It was actually today. Surely there's not a bunch of people running the aircon tonight, but there's no storms so if it's not loadshedding what is it?
@twensor@ChristyDanFan All of the ongoing outages were LOCAL distribution issues, trees downing lines, power poles pulled down by trees.
Nothing to do with source of generation or maintenance of transmission towers
@JustKimfromoz@westernpowerwa@CityofKalamunda We had a massive outage in Random Areas of Victoria last week after that micro storm. Hope you get your power back soon or can get a generator
We’re also preparing generators for distribution. Priority will be for those who are most vulnerable who are remaining at home with prolonged power outages. I will share more information on how to apply for these soon.
Customers can also lodge a compensation claim for damaged property or food spoilage resulting from an unplanned power outage or power surge. These claim forms can be found on the distributors’ websites:
