A planned power outage tonight means I need to remember to charge my phone before going to bed so that I can use whatever white noise app I have on there these days.

A sixth sense may indeed be a real thing. I’m not kidding. I’ve noticed over the years whenever I get the sudden urge to charge my devices regardless of if they need to or not, in that 24hrs there’s ALWAYS a long power outage. It happened again today!

@eveforamerica @JimCo72112708 Good example, I live in California. We have power outages here all the time on really hot days. People with electric cars can't charge them. Gavin nuisance

I’ve had a situation today that reminded me why I’d rather a network outage than a power one. After all my devices died and no power to charge them, what did I use the network to do???

@hankgreen Unreliable in the cold, not enough super chargers, long distance driving/road trips, inability to repair/maintain myself, possible power outages in my area. EVs seem like great commuter cars if you can charge at home but I'd never not have at least one gas car in the household.

our whole complex lost power and me and some other guy were the first ones to walk out to see what was up and he went to wedge open the entrance gate so people aren't locked in and he put me in charge of calling and reporting the outage i feel so useful

@Joe_S_Pure Never thought about it. I'm guessing if we have a power outage you can't charge a car.

@m_bohaichuk My dad has a Tesla and uses it to commute. It adds so much time to his already long commute in the winter because he has to stop and charge because he can’t make it on one charge. There’s also been power outages due to storms and he’s had to charge it with a generator…. $$$$$

@abcnews What happens when the EV goes flat and there is no power to charge it? My diesel powered work van with my 5kw inverter will power my house quite easily too in a power outage. Or you could use a cheap petrol powered generator to do the same. EVs are rich toys for rich boys.
