I can't wait for @mynetfone to hurry up and get a retail brand mobile service (preferably on the Telstra network). Disc: I am a shareholder.

Kite The Reef: Kitesurfed 1,185km to cure MND - ALS
Its OFFICIAL: Guinness World Records have recognised Kite The Reef for the Longest Kitesurf Journey at 1,185km - massive well done to Richard Hatherall for pulling together the evidence pack for Guinness (2 min videos of every hour of the 61 hours of moving time, plus team & personal GPS trails for all riders, log books for every hour, and many witness statements) - and to Kezzia & Bronwen and all the support crew. Lime Cordiale for the tunes (https://soundcloud.com/limecordiale/feel-alright#t=0:59). And the amazing Aroona Boat Charters Cairns Australia who worked tirelessly for months to help us pull off the logistics for this ambitious challenge. Here's a neat wrap-up on USA's Today breakfast show: www.facebook.com/kitethereef/videos/vb.408267436000966/460319197462456/?type=2&theater Donations to MND Research are now at $117,000 and keep trickling up - donate at www.kitethereef.org Macquarie University Motor Neurone Disease Research Centre Skyscanner Windswell Kitesurfing and Standup Paddle Port Douglas - Freelancer - goCatch - Clipp - AXIS Kiteboarding - Blade Kiteboarding - Kiteboarding NSW - Great Barrier Reef Marine Park - Virgin Australia - MyNetFone www.skyscanner.com.au/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=ktf

Kite The Reef: Kitesurfed 1,185km to cure MND - ALS

Meanwhile back at HQ, Richard has submitted the Guinness World records dossier - 2 mins of videos for every single hour of the 61 hours moving time, plus GPS tracks for the team and every person, witness statements and much more. Fingers Crossed for official recognition of the world record ... Kite The Reef: Kitesurfed 1,185km to cure MND - ALS
Donate to find a cure to MND at www.kitethereef.org/donate Incredible two days for Kite The Reef ... while donations hit $76,000 TODAY: The team covered a very solid 183km across the famous Ribbons: Words from Jesse Richman & Jason Rogers: "Phenomenal arduous day - but everything we hoped it would be, paradise and hell alternating - between the Ribbons (reefs) and the pressure points" ... "Places kitesurfing dreams are made of one minute, then the gaps between reefs are last places you would ever consider going unless you were a total nutcase (or heading to Cape York to raise funds for MND Research" ... "Deep dark, murky, huge currents washing in and out of the whole reef system through these narrow channels" ... "Freaking gnarly man" ... Donations to the MND Research project are at a solid *** $76,000 ***. Remember Macquarie University pass through 100% of donations direct to the lab - $76k would pay for an additional research scientist for a year, or one the microscopes the team needs - dig as deep as the team will be doing out on the water. Remember the team paid for the support boat themselves with huge generosity from Aroona. So 100% of donations go to the cause. NOT a single dollar goes to the kiteboarding activities. And this is NOT a relay :-) YESTERDAY: Textbook start to the day. Launch from Vlasoff, then a wide berth past Michaelmas Island (bird sanctuary - stayed clear of that), then on to Batt Reef, infamous for being the spot that Steve Irwin met his fate ...woah then all hell let loose ... and we were very glad we had done so many emergency drills with Ross Miller/Aroona and Bretto/Windswell's quick thinking, and our radio protocols coming into play More on that later ... WATCH THE VIDEO til the end for some clues Big thanks today to Hinterland Aviation Cairns for bringing out extra protein bars for the kiters - awesome guys - www.hinterlandaviation.com.au. And thx Lime Cordiale for the music tracks. Kite The Reef: Kitesurfed 1,185km to cure MND - ALS
Waiting for the wind is over. The journey has begun. The sou-easter kicked in just before dawn and we started counting down 1,000 kms. 7News got some epic helicopter footage of the kitesurfers as they departed Vlasoff Reef this morning (will get the footage from them tomorrow). Here's a quick video introducing some of the team and why the heck they are doing this. Special shout out to the companies that donated to the charity auction: Blade Kiteboarding, Australian Kite Surfari, AXIS Kiteboarding, MaiTai Global, Disrupt Surfing, Yellow Front Door, Mystic Boarding, PrimalFit Skyscanner - Freelancer - MyNetFone - Canva

MyNetFone is a joke of a company. 2 and a half weeks without wifi at home and will take another 2 weeks to get a Technician out to me. I have paid my mobile company extra cash for data, I have had to pay for my Private Technician and also had to pay for services. Warning to all Australians DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY. This is unfair! I am apparently locked into a 2 year contract with them now and cant get out apparently. In the last 3 months it has been down more then up and running. They have no customer service value either and do not care. Do not be a victim to this company Australia.

Dear MyNetFone I have decided That i will be changing to optus as I am over paying for a slow ADSL service. I keep getting told its because how far away from the exchange I am. this is a load of crap as I had a person from your company change settings and the speeds went to 10.9mbps my internet speed is now 2.9 mbps this is a joke I am sick and tired of needing to call you guys over the same problem. if ican not get the serviceI pay for I will go else where. and i will not be paying the $200 disconnection fee. #overshitservice #overmynetfone

I am extremely disappointed with MyNetFone I have been waiting since the 6th May for our internet installation in an apartment that already had existing Internet with Optus, the Service Provider, now I have just received another email today that the date for installation will be the 18th June!!! I work from home so this is unacceptable. I will now have to shop around for another internet provider. I am still to receive an explanation. Very disappointing.
