Hey Exetel! I recently switched over to a HFC NBN connection 25/5 plan. It's been fine/passable for the last two weeks getting up to 20mbps down - but for around 24hrs I've been getting less than 1mb down... cables checked and swapped. Modem and router reset. How is this worse than my ADSL connection?

Exetel - I am beyond frustrated with the service I have been receiving over the past month, so unfortunately I have had to result to a public forum in an attempt to get some action from you. I have a business NBN connection with you running my phone, internet and EFTPOS machine for one of my retail outlets. Ever since we have chosen you as a service provider we have had nothing but problems. Our connection continually drops out - at least twice per month - for a period of 2 - 10 days at a time. During this time I cannot use my business phone, cannot access the internet and emails, and cannot process eftpos transactions. Basically I may as well close my store. We have put up with this for 12 months at least and I have had enough. I have give too many opportunities for you to rectify this issue. Today, again, my NBN connection went down. It has only been working for about 7 days since the last outage. The earliest you can commitment to have someone look into this in two days time. How do you advise I run my business during this time? I have also spent an hour on the phone today answering the same questions I answer practically weekly ("have you reset your modem" "do you have a splitter") which is frustrating and costly in itself. To top this all off, I received a bill today for last months service in its entirety. When I questioned the time in which the service was usable by my business (approx 20% of the month), I was told that I could not get a credit because the supplier could not find a fault in the line. How do you explain the constant downtime if there is not fault? Why am I expected to pay for something that I am not receiving? I am in the process of terminated my contract with your embarrassment of a company that falsely claims to provide business level internet access, customer service, or really any service at all. I will NEVER recommend your service to anyone, and have no choice to report this to the appropriate governing bodies. You are ripping off Australian's and should not be in business.

Good news everybody! We finally received an update from Exetel on the connection date for our NBN Australia Wireless Internet connection. The good news is, we’ll be up and running 47 years, 5 months and 15 days ago.... I will not yet be 18, but I am hoping I can fool them! The updates and our videos will be worth it. We promise!

Hi Exetel it took a while for our Airbnb guests to even get a connection, but when they did this was the fantastically poor speeds you were delivering. Almost a week now since reporting and testing the issue with no response other than "we are contacting the wholesaler."
