Alternatively, since it’s not illegal to buy crypto, you can spread 10k in multiple bank accounts at different banks. I believe most banks are doing the same thing so 3 banks 10k each per months is 30k a month. That’s not bad.

The currency doesn’t evaporate, it is moved to someone else’s account when they sell the BTC to the OP. What is actually happening is demand for AUD as a store of value is decreasing.
