@loftwah @1Password I hope you enjoy it, honestly it's been a lifesaver since switching from other passmanagers. They have fantastic support for chromium and macOS. Not sure if that's your setup but either way still works great in other browsers

@Z796438458308 @CubicleApril @stijnhommes @1Password Imho there are two real weaknesses for device-bound passkeys: you need a non-passkey auth flow to register your device with an account. This will most likely be an emailed token. So your email account is your weakest link. Secondly, it doesn't work for people who don't have-

@stijnhommes @CubicleApril @Z796438458308 @1Password Also typically when you switch to a new device–if they implement security controls–they don't let you log in immediately, they ask you a security question or even implement the same emailed token flow I mentioned earlier.

You sign in with your existing account with an alternative login flow like 'we sent you an email with a token, please enter it here'. Then on login you register the new device with a passkey.

Like I said, registration can be easy--on the new device, log in to your email. Then log in with email flow on any account which supports it. Then once-

@levelsio I use 1password and I’ve never had an issue like this. It also has the 2fa codes built-in so I never enter passwords or 2fa. @1Password is the best!
